What makes the learning center different?
There are many great options in this area to take courses that are several weeks long in a classroom with 25 other people and learn everything there is to learn about a computer program or topic. Although these classes have value, not everyone learns best in that type of environment. At Stefanie Kyle Design & Knowledge, you will learn in short workshops, most are 2-hours long. You will also learn in small groups of 6 - 10 in a space that is welcoming, warm and downright cozy! And you will not learn all the ins and outs of a program, but you will learn the basics so you will be comfortable going home and continuing to explore the program.
Who will teach the workshops?
I will teach some of the workshops. Although I've never been formally trained to teach computer workshops, I have lived and breathed computers for as long as I can remember. Having said that, there are obviously programs out there that I am not an expert on. Those workshops will be taught by local professionals. I'll have an accountant or bookkeeper teach QuickBooks and a photographer will teach Photoshop. I want you to learn from people who REALLY know these programs.
What workshops will be offered?
The workshops offered will include a Facebook Series, Microsoft Outlook and Excel, Intuit QuickBooks, General Photo Editing, Adobe Photoshop, and more. Click here to see a list of upcoming workshops. I would love to hear what you are hoping to learn about! Contact me with any suggestions!
Do I need to bring anything when I attend a workshop?
Yes, you MUST bring your own laptop to these workshops, and your laptop must have a working wireless internet card installed. Aside from that, pens, paper, notes, coffee, water and snacks will be provided.
How should I dress for a workshop?
Please dress however you will feel most comfortable. It is not necessary to dress up. Casual dress is totally acceptable.
